The Avaya B179 SIP Conference Phone is best suited for board rooms and large conference rooms with groups greater than 10 people, the B179 SIP Conference Phone helps improve employee productivity and collaboration between customers, partners and suppliers with features including:

• SIP based for powerful integration with the Avaya Aura® platform as well as third-party networks, also supports PoE ( Power over Ethernet )
• Web-based configuration to import / export contacts and settings

• Optional expansion microphones that increase range (and number of participants) up to 750 sq ft ( microphones are sold separately )
• SD memory card to record your meetings and conference calls for playback or to archive for later use
• A phone book for quick access to your key contacts
• User profiles for storing personal contact details and settings
• Optional wireless headset connection and PA system to meet the sound requirements for larger groups
• Hold up to five-way conference calls

Compatibility

• Supported on IP Office 7.0 or higher. Requires Essential Edition, available voice compression channels (VCM 32/64 or IP500 Combination ATM card), and available Avaya IP Endpoint license.
  NOTE: Although the Avaya B179 is SIP based, it does not require an IP Office 3rd Party (SIP) Endpoint license. The unit registers as a SIP extension, but consumes an Avaya (H.323) IP Endpoint license
