The Avaya J159 IP Phone give Your Power Users an IP Phone that has a small form factor packed with numerous feature buttons and meets the everyday voice communications needs of users that need more than basic telephony features.

The Avaya J159 IP Phone is a high performing IP Phone and features primary and secondary color displays, 4 softkeys, high definition audio quality, integrated Gigabit Ethernet interface, headset support, and optional Wi-Fi®.
The Avaya J159 have a Primary color display—2.8 inches x 2.1 inches (7.0 cm x 5.3 cm)— Diagonal width: 3.5 inches (8.8 cm) with two red / green line / feature button indicators on the left side and two red / green line / feature button indicators on the right side of the color display.
The secondary color display — 2.3”, 160 x 240 pixel have eight red / green feature button indicators on the right side for use of rich features delivered by Avaya IP Office and Avaya Aura.
Beneath the primary color display are four context-sensitive soft keys.
In the middle of the IP Phone is a navigation cluster for cursor movement or selection of options on the Phone screen or in other menus.
On the Avaya J159 IP Phone are hard buttons for direct access to messages, contacts, history/mist calls, home, navigation cluster, headset, speaker, volume, mute, redial, transfer, conference and hold.
Thanks to the smart use of navigation buttons, 48 features can be programmed on the function buttons.

This IP Phone is a one line phone that can support two concurrent calls. Easy to use, the Avaya J159 has 4 context-sensitive soft keys and shows display prompts that enables the user to quickly access and confidently use features including transferring or forwarding calls, placing or retrieving calls on hold, initiating an ad-hoc conference call, viewing the recent call history, dialing a number from the Directory or Recent Call History, accessing voicemail, using park / unpark functionality and more
The dual 10 / 100 /1000 Ethernet ports enable easier building cabling since a co-located PC gains access to the LAN through the Phone. The Avaya J159 supports Power over Ethernet as a power efficient Class 1 device and supports 802.3az. If there is no Power over Ethernet available, power can be supplied by an optional local 5V DC Power supply.
Fits 3rd-party open SIP call platforms
The Avaya J159 IP Phone is not only suited for Avaya Aura or Avaya IP Office platforms. The Avaya J159 IP Phone with J100 SIP software is also supported with selected 3rd-party open SIP call platforms.
For example, if you use this phone on a Avaya platform and migrate later to another 3rd-party open SIP Platform, then there is no use for buying new SIP Phones.
If you do not have a Avaya platform and want to use this Avaya J159 SIP phone directly on a 3rd-party open SIP call platform then we advise you to purchase the J159 type 3PCC 3rd party open SIP only variant. This variant is priced cheaper.
